ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Higher Education Commission of Pakistan is playing with the career of 78000 graduates of Al-Khair University. Al-Khair University is Azad Kashmir’s first private university established in 1994 by the ordinance of Azad Kashmir government.
University is recognized from HEC and running several degree courses since 22 years. HEC halted the operation of the university and stop attestation of degree one year back in April 2016 and ask the university to provide the record of all graduates.
In December 2016, University provided the whole data of 78000 graduates. Since last three months, HEC has not restored the attestation and academic operation of the university.
Graduates who earned the degrees from Al-Khair are facing troubles in their salaries, promotions and finding new jobs. Higher Education Administration continuously showing ignorance to the matter and behaving destructively as governing body.
Meanwhile, the chairman of HEC himself facing a case in court against his PhD and MBA degrees in the same years. This is against the HEC rules itself and a case is running against him in the court. During the protest of 15 march, HEC has asked students to wait for 27 March to get this issue solved.
